Jerusalem Tavern, London, UK

A bottle of St Peter’s Beer in Clerkenwell’s Jerusalem Tavern. One of the photographer’s favourite pubs.

Backlighting through glass makes the shot. Always go up close to glass, change your camera angle relative to the light source, there are unexpected distortions and refractions to be discovered, and often these can make the shot for you. The same is true of any mirror or reflected light sources (e.g. a lake).
